My Background

I’m Fiona Araee, a visual artist based in Los Angeles with a multicultural background that shapes the way I tell stories through art. My work explores human emotions, identity, and the space between tradition and modern life.

Drawing from my Persian roots, I often blend symbolism, calligraphy, and historical elements with modern techniques. My goal is to create work that connects across cultures and generations—inviting viewers to pause, reflect, and feel.

My new body of work is deeply personal, inspired by the daily life of my children. I’m drawn to the pure joy they experience in the freedom of their childhood, and I aim to capture those fleeting moments of wonder, vulnerability, and discovery. I'm also exploring the dynamic connection between men and women, and how their perspectives on life’s challenges and joys often diverge and intersect. These themes come together in my recent pieces as a reflection of emotional depth, vulnerability, and growth.
